"Whiskers Are Cute" - May 23, 2007

| As I pulled into Moss Landing harbor this morning, I was mildly discouraged
by the lack of my favorite otter. So I headed out to the jetty to see
if I could get close to the raft of otters. A high fog and the sun
in front of me left me with poor lighting. I did manage to snap a shot
or two of a harbor seal (Phoca
vitulina) who stumbled upon me, and I then stumbled upon one
of my own, although he looked a bit banged up. I decided to try my
favorite
otter
one more
time and I was rewarded with some very "cute" shots. Yes,
I admit it, sea otters (Enhydra
lutris) are cute. |
